Wellness Care Plans
Wellness care plans cover standard veterinary care and preventative care. It is different from your pet’s medical insurance. A wellness plan is meant to help reimburse you for routine visits while other plans cover accidents and illnesses.
When you take your pet to the vet for a standard visit (it could be either a physical exam or just a preventative treatment) and make a payment out of your pocket, this plan will assist you with the expenses.
It’s important to take your dog or cat for routine check-ups so they can stay happy and healthy all year long. Most wellness plans cover two physical exams per year. See below for what else is offered reimbursable with a wellness care plan:
- Annual Exams
- Routine Vaccines
- Spay/Neuter
- Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatments
- Fecal Testing
- Blood Work
- Microchip
- Dental Cleaning
- Grooming and Nail Trimming
- Urinalyses
Wellness care plans vary depending on which pet insurance provider you choose; not every company may offer this. Please read policies carefully before signing up.
